It's attractive. It's annoying though not a major problem.
Several raised the issue of Amazon promoting recordable CDs that won't work with the unit. These reviews had been around a while so I naively figured Amazon must have corrected this problem.
I read all the reviews for the TEAC LP-R400 before buying it. So I have 50 CDs that I will use eventually, but now I need to go out and find digital recordable discs.
They have not. The discs are recordable but not digital.
Otherwise, the unit appears to work well. I don't know yet if it can record, but I'm optimistic.
It's terrific - just play and burn - what more can you ask for. I can take all those old vinals preserve them now.
This is the best toy I have bought since blowup dolls. It has kept me busy for hours recording LPs' and it is so easy to operate even a De De Dee can do it.I have seen some of my Vinyl go for $150 on cd to purchase. Not any more.It also takes other inputs using RCA conection soo you can do much more with this.I imagine you can even cut your own cd.Worth every penny
I found the product very easy to use and the quality of my CDs which I created from records dating back to the 1960s (Foreigner, CCR, Olivia Newton-John, etc) to come out sounding like the records without much scratchy sound on them. I read some of the other reviews before purchasing it and heeded the advice given which was: 1. TEAC LP-R400 Turntable CD Recorder and Radio (Black) This is one awesome product. I only have used the product to listen to LPs and to record LPs to discs, but I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone looking for a product to use in this way. use ONLY digital audio discs as it will NOT record on the CDs you would use to record audio from a computer, and 2. make sure to finalize the CD when finished recording. I believe it's the best there is and well worth the money. I was even successful on my first attempt to record an LP to a CD that's how easy it was IF you follow the steps outlined in the manual.
You must use audio CD's as you cannot use computer disks. This unit is quite adequate for the purpose intended. When copying LP's to CD's we recommend using manual rather than automatic mode to insert track numbers. You cannot expect this unit to sound like a custom sound system. The CDs made from this unit sounded great on our regular home music system. Overall we are quite pleased with the unit as we can now play our old LP's in the car, boombox and theatre music system. We would recommend this unit.
